A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a group of House Republican lawmakers from Pennsylvania seeking stricter ID requirements for Americans voting from locations overseas. Meanwhile, officers who defended the Capitol during the January 6, 2021, attacks are campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris. CBS News’ Scott MacFarlane reports.

You should be in the United States to vote. Unless your military, a US citizen at an embassy or American citizens that can prove they can’t make it home to vote. No more duel citizenship should be allowed to vote

We need to protect the voting rights of our US Armed Forces Service Members, State Department officials and staff who maintain US embassies, and every other type of expat who lives abroad. Many of them are serving our country, some work to support nonprofits/humantiarian aid, some of them work internationally for US businesses. Regardless of the reason they live abroad, they are Americans and they maintain the right to vote in their home states and counties.
