Our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.

Stock market has over 40 all time highs in 2024. Trump says USA is falling apart and he's richer than EVER. Meanwhile all the people complaining (and don't even know what a Roth IRA, index fund, or compound interest is) are playing Russian roulette with our democracy… because clearly an overpriced real estate market, $30-40k cars, and $5.99 birthday cards at Kroger are Biden's fault. So if things are that rough, I assume the maga cult will save and invest instead of maxing out their credit cards bc tradition says your ENTITLED to buy Christmas gifts as a human being on planet earth…. and then vote to end democracy and stab half the country in the back. It's not a question of necessity if i wanted to live on hamburger helper I could it's comes down to quality of like not getting by. I used to be able to afford higher quality things in life. Now I need to pass on. You may want to get by I would like to thrive and build wealth.

I guess u didn't grocery shop either. I spend almost 40% more on food then i did 3 years ago. I want to buy Heinz Ketcup yesterday and it was $6.49 for a 24oz bottle, a 6 pack paper towels $8 49 for the supermarket brand when i used to buy scott paper towels for $5.99. 12 pack of Coke is $9 99, three dollars more. So you can say all you want and tell yourself live is great. As I said you are delusional.

There’s just so much on clearance on around me even food. Certain food and drinks brands that didn’t have an easy time selling have clearance from 50-75% cents off. These items not on clearance but they are consistently a cheap price like ground beef for less than $2 lb , beef knee caps for $1.39 since 2016 because this particular grocery store opened back in 2016, cereal box 10-12 oz for $1.25, veal bones, etc. I can easily pay early 2000s prices or less on certain items. $1.25 cereal box is at dollar tree and not a name brand.
