Britain and Italy agreed to deepen their security cooperation through NATO exercises, naval operations and defence initiatives, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said after a meeting with Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni on Monday. “We also agreed to deepen our security cooperation,” Starmer said at a press conference in Rome with Meloni. FRANCE 24’s Seema Gupta reports.

When has Meloni slammed leftist protesters into prison, the way two-tier Starmer does with people protesting against immigrants murdering children, not just on the streets, but even for Facebook posts? Well, I always associated stamping down on freedom of speech typical of extremists, not moderates.

Right and left in the United Kingdom are different, in many ways, from most of the EU countries, where the left often turned from Marxist to Liberals. There is a Liberal party in the UK. Left and Right in the UK is mostly about Land Owners and Labour force, without a sprinkle of USA Capitalistic stances.
The Right in Italy is more about balancing rights and duties, but without A strong accent on Capital and opposition to welfare State.
I don't see many sources of friction between Meloni and Starmer as it would with someone as Corbyn, which Starmer replaced because of conflicting views
