Kevin Clement, mayor of Thibodaux, Louisiana, discusses how his residents are being affected by the storm that made landfall early Wednesday evening near New Orleans as a Category 2 storm, before weakening to a Category 1 hurricane.

All of this could have been avoided if someone would have taken some of the trillions of dollars spent on climate change, and paid whoever the climate idiots choose to stop it.😅😂😊

Why the major wanted to talk more about Ida instead of Katrina????😢
@eddiebreaux9750
Great interview. In NOLA it was more intense than expected. Our neighbors in Thibodeaux definitely felt more. It could have been much worse. The mayor spoke very well,
Now they deal with insurance. Don’t forget to check on them. “How’s the high premiums you’re paying treating you?” I guarantee a long emotional fight ahead for Homeowners. Just to settle the outrageous money they spend to collect from these corporations they pay monthly. As a news outlet… follow-up. Accept this as a lead to storylines.

Time to plan on long term move out of low lying lands like St Charles and New Orleans for example. Water levels, rising storm surges and flood from huge storm systems dumping a month’s worth of rainfall in a few hours. Still powerlines still above land not buried? Stay safe but we should’ve been preparing to leave these areas in next 20 years. And no one should be allowed to build new homes in flood zones.
@shismith10
I am also praying for the residents of Thibodaux as well. May God bless all affected by Hurricane Francine.
@shismith10
I am praying for the Jefferson and Terrebonne Parishes residents and the United Houma Nation. May God protect all those affected by this hurricane/storm.
@marciathom6708
It’s a hurricane. You knew it was coming. Warnings put out. And people still do stupid stuff. You can’t stop the wind, downed trees, power outages and flooding. Prayers for all.

Can my construction people please chime in? That AutoZone looked like it was just cladding and insulation, did my eyes deceive me or was it really that flimsy? I feel like a structure like that shouldn't behave the same way a gas station awning does in a storm.
During Charley, a tornado took out my local autozone and it put up a HELL of a lot more fight than this one did. It was brick.

That's the WRATH of God. It's Missiles God is sending cos He is livid with the kings president's business people and the corporate world not forgetting WHO and the Pharmaceutical division. These people are all liars and God nose about it all. Repent and believe in Jesus cos theres no other way out.

Thibodeaux…thank you for saying it correctly!
@serinafaciane9249
Houma is not pronounced HOO-MA, it's pronounced HOME-A. Also Thibodaux is pronounced TIB-A-DOUGH, not THIBE-A-DOUGH. You're welcome!!! I feel like I can say this since my pronunciation was always corrected when I lived up north.
@SimplyRose777
I pray for all these people 🙏!!! When you know there’s a hurricane coming, you do not drive your car or go out. And if you’re close to the ocean, you evacuate.
