  1. a Blackhawk pilot told me years ago that while accidents happen, you are only as safe as your pilot is experienced.

  2. female pilot. there, I solved it.

  3. Pilot error flying VFR at night and didn’t look at his navigational charts for obstructions in his path prior to flying his tour route for the tourists.

  4. The FAA only does something when something happens. I wonder how many know that this tower is about 1,000 feet high. If they know than this pilot was to blame for not knowing the area. If not on any charts, then it's the fed's fault.

  5. Put it on the list of things we need to repair in this country. I want an agency dedicated to going around and replacing all defective or faulty lights on radio towers. There will be $35 trillion that we the people suddenly inherit. And we'll decide how to spend that money. As of now, it's all going towards police efforts. With this next administration, it will be more about making improvements. There are a variety of industries and sectors that we will working on improving in America soon. No stone will be left unturned.

  6. Crazy!🙄😟

  7. Thanks Kamala

  9. This is example of a military attack….

  10. I wonder just how strong those broadcasting towers really are. We had the Baloon Fiesta here in Albuquerque just over a week ago and a Hot Air Balloon knocked one of our radio towers down.

  11. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

  12. Radio tower. How convenient

  13. Who were on this flight?

  14. "amazing luck" is a phrase I myself would not use while covering this story 😒

  15. I wonder what that Tower broadcasted/repeated?

  16. Seemingly impossible to not see the well-illuminated giant radio tower…yet this pilot nailed it, dead-center…literally!!!

  17. May they rest in PEACE… 😢🙏📿✝️💔📖💒🌹👼🕊

  18. It’s crazy that my Subaru can keep me in the lanes on the highway and teslas can self drive and this kind of thing happens with all the technology we have. 🤦🏻‍♂️😪 Super sad.

  19. Additionally, towers are designed so when they collapse they come down like an accordion. This likely what saved surrounding buildings.

  20. Tower looks like it was lit. Why the pilot didn’t see it is a good question.

  21. I dunno why they are acting like they don't know what happened.. A helicopter literally flew into a radio tower it didn't see.

  22. Obviously pilot error.

  23. a year or two ago turf vendors fired all the standby tower crews nationwide to save a dollar, your news crews should give the guys at wirelessestimator a call for the details

  24. Mistakes happen, especially in poor visibility.
