New York City police have entered the Columbia University en masse and are arresting students.
The NYPD told the BBC officers have entered Hamilton Hall, an academic building recently occupied by pro-Palestinian protesters.
The activists had taken over the Hamilton Hall building nearly 24 hours earlier amid two weeks of campus protests over the Israel-Gaza war.
The police were authorised to go in by university authorities, after student demonstrators defied a deadline to disperse.

All the staff and students should be put to disciplinary action..with regards to what they did..the staff should educate their students not to brainwash them see what happened ? They became more angry and did violence instead of educating them to be lawfully abiding citizens..very sad…I pray that their will be peace in Israel and all the country…I pray that love will be abound that hate!!

I wonder if students subconsciously identify with Gazans because they used to live in their parents house (like Gazans used to live in Israel) for free but have been pushed out and are being pushed around by more powerful older people with money, they want their parents house back without the parents in it. Understandable but I think it is more civilized when students identify with purportedly egalitarian ideologies, commies or anarchists .

These are not "protests". These are riots. Too, Israel has not committed any genocidal acts against Palestine when you look at the centuries long history of this conflict and the facts. Israel has offered concession after concession while Palestinians reject every single overture of peace. Palestine harbors and supports terrorist organizations while endlessly chanting "Death to Israel". Hamas and other backed Palestinian terrorist groups have always place their weapons caches, terrorist command centers, etc in Palestinian schools/hospitals/residential areas to use Israel's defending itself as fodder and propaganda. The identical same thing happened in 1930's Germany and you see what happened then. I openly challenge everyone to study this for yourself and you will see. College staff and administrators have created this very hostile, bigoted, and dangerous environment for students and it has been happening for years. Censorship on campuses reigns. These terrorist sympathizers have committed violent insurrectionist take-overs on college campuses all over the nation and even held two janitors hostage at Columbia University.
