US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has warned Washington will act if China does not stop supplying Russia with items used in its assault on Ukraine.
Speaking to the BBC in Beijing, the US’s top diplomat said he had made clear to his counterparts they were “helping fuel the biggest threat” to European security since the Cold War.
He did not say what measures the US was prepared to take.
But Mr Blinken was also keen to stress progress had been made in some areas, which included Beijing’s efforts in stopping supplies of the drug fentanyl reaching the US.

I Can’t see how China 🇨🇳 helping Russia in a war of conquest in Europe is actually beneficial to China in any way, Chinese economy needs good trading relations with Europe and the last thing it needs is the place to go up in smoke as Putin rampages through the European Union 🇪🇺
President Xi might have gotten private assurances from Putin on his military objectives but he won’t trust them.
China has its own ambitions and good geopolitical relations with Russia are helpful to for filling these in the short to medium term but China 🇨🇳 doesn’t trust Russia and both country’s are really using each other as leverage to get what they want rather than a full alliance.

The Ukrainian Army lost two Patriot anti-aircraft systems because it tried to intercept low-cost guided aerial bombs, expert Justin Bronk said in an interview with the British newspaper the Daily Mail.
