Either the Democrats know they will have perpetual rule if Kamala Harris wins or they are too short sighted. If the filibuster is removed, both sides will abuse it and we'll have a dumpster fire for government. Laws should be hard to pass. It should be hard to ensure only the best laws get passed. The filibuster is a good rule to have in place because it ensures that a law must have a 60% majority to pass, ensuring only laws that a strong majority will support get passed. The Inflation Reduction Act was a bad law that was barely pushed through, which actually increased inflation and to date hasn't done a fraction of what it was promised.
