Incoming First Lady Melania Trump has broken her silence on where she and her son Barron will reside as her husband Donald Trump returns to the White House.

Questions had been swirling around where Melania, 54, would live reside given that Barron is a freshman at New York University.

Melania said, as many suspected, that she will be splitting time between Washington, DC, New York, and the Trumps’ Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. But she will be spending most of her time at one of them.

‘I will be in the White House,’ she said on Fox & Friends on Monday morning.

‘And when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach.

‘My first priority is to be a mom, to be a first lady, to be a wife.’

While Melania confirmed that she will be mainly at the White House, she did not state that it would be full time.

Meanwhile, Barron will be living at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan through his first year at NYU.

‘I think he will come and visit, yes,’ Melania said.

The former first lady, who long guarded Barron from the public, also shared her perspective on him growing as an adult.

‘I feel that, children, we have them until they are like 18, 19 years old,’ Melania said.

‘We teach them, we guide them, and then we give them the wings to fly. And I always respect Barron’s “yes’” and “no” and what he likes to do, where he would like to be.’

Melania also said that Barron is welcome to bring his friends to the White House: ‘Whatever he would like to do, yes.’

The former model reiterated that Barron had a different upbringing and grew up very fast as a first son, and knows that he does not have the normal college life.

Melania’s return to the White House will be featured in a documentary that Amazon announced plans for earlier this month.
