Hallmark+ viewers want to see the network renew The Spencer Sisters Season 2. This fun series stars Lea Thompson and Stacey Farber who play a mother and daughter detective team. Although this is not an original Hallmark series, everything about it screams Hallmark. In addition, the supporting cast and guest stars are familiar to the viewers. Lastly, most of these mysteries do not include dead bodies. This is light and fun, perfect for the feel-good network’s audience.

Originally, this Canadian series premiered on The CW in 2023, during the SAG-AFTRA strike. However, CTV and The CW did not renew it. Instead, Sleuthers want Hallmark to make it happen.

Sleuthers were surprised when Hallmark+ dropped The Spencer Sisters Season 2 in late December. Although some fans had seen it on The CW, many fans binge watched this series and enjoyed it. Lea Thompson plays Victoria Spencer. She is a bestselling mystery writer. Stacey Farber plays Darby Spencer. She is an ex-cop who got tired of the old-boy politics of her previous job. This combination makes for a good detective agency, which is named The Spencer Sisters. that is because a lot of people joke about the mother and daughter looking so much alike.

The first season was 10 episodes long. Now, fans want more. In a recent Reddit thread, fans shared that they want the network to renew it for Season 2. Many did not know that the series was canceled by another network.

• I just finished up ep 10 about 15 min ago! Such a great series-I had no idea it was canceled from another network. Oh I do wish they decide to continue it on HM!!
• Same!! I thought it got renewed for a second season so I am super bummed it got canceled. I hope Hallmark picks it up because it seems like a perfect fit and is even set in Canada where they film a lot! Plus I love Stacey Farber and Lea Thompson.
