with-font”>This is the shocking moment a Mercedes-Benz driver crashed into a parked car and a tree – before driving off as if nothing happened.

In the dramatic footage, the driver can be seen slamming into the stationary vehicle parked outside Colin Aylward’s home in Dagenham, East London, during the early hours.

not realising the collision had occurred until the next day, Mr Aylward checked his home security cameras once he noticed the parked car was closer than usual to his driveway.

The 52-year-old father-of-one said: ‘The parked car has been taken now. It wasn’t my car.

‘It didn’t wake me up. I found out [about the crash] because they were parked near to my drive.

that blue estate usually parks well away, but this time it was close to my dropped kerb.

‘I thought, “That’s unusual”. I was flicking through the camera footage and saw that the car jumped backwards at one point.’

And though he says there was ‘a little bit’ of damage to the parked car, he said white paint on a tree and the kerb shows the Mercedes likely came off worse.

‘I think they did more damage to their car,’ Mr Aylward said.

This is not the first occasion in which Mr Aylward has captured an extraordinary incident on his doorbell security camera.

Just last week, the Dagenham resident saw a pair of hooded men pushing a hefty commercial-grade appliance out the back of a van and onto the road before making a hasty getaway.

Speaking to that extreme case of fly-tipping, the father-of-one said: ‘I reported it to police, but they said they weren’t going to do anything’.

Two council workers who arrived on the scene just over an hour later appeared similarly indifferent about the situation.

Footage shows the two men simply rolling the fridge out of the road and on to a nearby patch of grass before exchanging a fist bump.
