In the Democratic Republic of Congo, a series of death sentences in a coup trial is causing a stir both inside the country and abroad. Thirty-seven people, including six Westerners, have been condemned to death in connection with a failed coup in May. The affair has also opened up a debate on the use of the death penalty in DR Congo. Emmet Livingstone, in Goma, has more.
