Thirty-three thousand workers walked off the job after rejecting a tentative contract with the aerospace giant, beginning a strike that could cost the company $100 million a day.

  1. Cut salary personnel that eat into the profit. These people are useless and cost the Boeing company millions upon millions

  2. They want their pay to go up to $108k plus the pension. They are nuts. If the company fails, or moves to South America they will be left with $0

  3. I work for u, p.S.This is why they settled with us so quick, so they wouldn't lose market share to fedex

  4. Astronauts stuck in space and doors flying off, meanwhile space x space walking and returning to earth.

  5. Imagine that. Highly overpaid union workers demanding a 40% pay increase over 5 years. Since Boeing jumped on the liberal DEI agenda airline saftey has failed miserably. What a facade.

  6. Non of your business who is paid what, replace them

  7. Do they not remember they make more than average Washingtonian

  8. I used to be in the IAM now I work in real world aviation that requires actual skill and knowledge. These people are entitled with an overinflated sense of self worth. Get skills and knowledge that justifies a higher wage. Doing one task that can be learned in a day over and over is not a valuable skill.

  9. I'm so, as a disabled American vet, am so very sorry that the Boeing workers can not afford Milk, Oatmeal, Rice, and Soy Sauce …

The workers need a "liveable wage".

The workers, are at their collective "Wits End", that they are not subsidized enough to maintain the standard of living, they are used to.

What do these workers, who complain about paying rent(I suspect most own rather nice houses in nice areas), making mortgage payments, keeping their 3 years old vehicles together with masking tape, or placing food on the table because they cannot afford food.
I understand Human Nature, and I understand corporate greed.
But to feign any degree of suffering, by professing an imagined degree of make believed, poverty, is truly obscene, while plane parts are falling off planes, and customers suffer the consequences of workmanship(?)…..

  10. "abc news, home of fake news"

  11. Imagine agreeing to lose over 1 billion in a month to not pay 900 million in a year. Boeing not wanting to pay us

  12. cut executive pay… definitely not taking any MAX soon

  13. The arrogance and greed of Boeing management is going to eventually destroy this company

  14. They are losing more just because they want to continue to low ball their employees…. With what they are losing they could have giving their employees their pension back …

  15. Move the factories to TX. It is no longer the 1960s.
Seattle is a tech hub flooded with Amazon/Meta/Google/Microsoft workers, not a factory town.
There is no hope trying to match the cost of living in the city. Out of control labor cost is a major competitive disadvantage against Airbus and Chinese 919.

  16. The workers would literally have lost income with this contract. The "25%" is based on 2008 wages and is basically 9% divided over 4 years. They took off a bonus that is thousands in yearly wages with no replacement. They lowered the health ins cost from paychecks- but increased deductibles and copays astronomically– the contract offer was a shell game meant to fool the public, and-if they could- fool employees.
95% of 33,000 people do not reject a contract and 96% do not vote to strike if the contract is even remotely reasonable. It would have been a way closer vote if it wasn't such a terrible offer

  17. Just like the Hollywood Strikes I pray they NEVER END!
Remember it was Renton that didn't bolted the door (plug).

  18. Wow what political party was in charge then?

  19. Do they not know they can change their job if they don't like their employer. Stop black mailing your company.

  20. If management would stop being so greedy with their salaries and shareholders, the stupid golden parachutes, most of all that money could be funneled back into the company and their workers that are the ones doing the work. Well, Boeing, well deserved

  21. Tua needs to retire. He’s clearly concussion prone and needs to put his health first
