Israel’s fire and rescue service has said emergency responders are scanning a building after it suffered a “direct hit”.

It shared a photo of the residential block in Kiryat Yam – a city in northern Israel – on X.

“Firefighters are currently working at the scene on Yerushalayim Avenue in Kiryat Yam after a direct hit to a residential building,” it said.

“The firefighters are currently scanning all the apartments.”
