Crime of passion from abusive parents. They've served nearly 35 years already and have changed their lives around while in jail. I recommend people to watch the documentary and not this one-sided Faux report.
In the second trial that led to their convictions, where the brothers were tried in front of a single jury, lawyers for the brothers were limited in what evidence and testimony could be presented.

I was on the LAPD when George Gascon was an assistant chief. He was then, as he is now, a complete tool. He barely spent any time working the streets as he was a scared coward and instead worked inside most of his career. While cowering inside he earned his law degree. He was appointed to be DA in San Francisco by Gavin Newscum when Cackles Harris vacated the position when she was elected attorney general. Coward George never tried a case nor spent a day in the courtroom. He was handed the DA spot because he had a law degree and he licked Newscum's boots. Think about that…the DA of one of the most populous and violent counties in America, has never tried a criminal case in his career. That's absurd!
