Ghana’s mental health authourity says that it’s seen a huge jump in the numbers of people trying to take their own lives. Most of the victims who succeded in their attempts have been men. 81 people have done so in the first half of 2024, nearly double the number recorded for the whole of last year. Our correspondent tells us more.
