BRUNO FERNANDES delivered on the pitch for Manchester United during their heroic FA Cup third-round victory over Arsenal on Sunday.

and he also delivered for a delighted William Hill customer, who won a colossal £4,000 from a stake of just £1.05 on the heavyweight encounter at the Emirates.

The winning bet builder

William Hill

  • Bruno Fernandes and Martin Odegaard 1+ shot on target
  • Gabriel Magalhaes to score anytime
  • Gabriel Magalhaes, Kai Havertz, Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo to all be shown a card

Odds: 4,000/1
Stake: £1.05
Returns: £4,000

The mystery punter placed a seven-fold accumulator of £1.05 – £1 of which was free bet credit – at odds of 4,000/1.

Selections included Bruno Fernandes and Martin Odegaard to have at least one shot on target, and centre-back Gabriel to score anytime.

Fernandes and Gabriel both obliged in the space of seven second-half minutes before Odegaard saw his penalty saved by goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.

The bettor also needed a flurry of cards having backed Fernandes, Gabriel, Kai Havertz and Kobbie Mainoo all to be shown a card during normal time.

with 37 minutes on the clock, Fernandes went down under a challenge from Gabriel Jesus on the edge of the Arsenal area – which referee Andy Madley ignored.

The midfielder then lashed out at Madley while furiously throwing his boot to the ground on two occasions, which earned him a booking.

William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “One of our customers will be thanking Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes after his boot throw against Arsenal on Sunday contributed to the success of an incredible 4000/1 bet builder.

“The bet consisted of seven legs, including Gabriel Magalhaes, Kai Havertz, Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo to all be shown a card, Fernandes and Martin Odegaard to have at least one shot on target and Gabriel to score.

“Bruno’s unconventional booking would’ve brought a smile to our lucky customer’s face, who walks away with a cool £4000 from a mere £1 free bet, plus 5p of his own money!”
